A bit more information about our state....... Georgia became our 4th state on January 2, 1788. Our capitol is Atlanta, the state flower is the Magnolia and the state motto is "Wisdom, justice, and moderation". Georgia is also known as the Peach State and the Empire of the South. Rich in custom and southern hospitality, Georgia is a wonderful state to live in. Our climate is as temperate as our people and as beautiful as the pearl white magnolia blossom!
